Vintage garnet filigree necklace
in Victorian style

This necklace is set with 18 genuine rosecut garnets
and a pearshape garnet measuring 0.56 x 0.3 inch
The necklace's center is 2.8 inch high and 4 inch wide.
It was made in the old alloy 'Tombak' with a
rosegoldplating like it was usual in those days.The length of the chain is 17 inch plus an extra
given variable extension chain to add max. 2.5 inches.
The chain is closed in the neck with a springring.
The weight of this chain and pendant is 16 gram.The dimensions of the necklace can be seen on the last picture
where I added an inch ruler and a coin to compare with.

This is old stock from a retired garnet wholesaler
where I found many old garnet pieces in a forgotten
attic. These old garnet jewels were made after WW2.
The garnets are set in 'Tombak' also called
'garnet gold' (similar to 'Pinchbeck') with a
rosegoldwash like it was usual in those days.
ГРАНАТ is the Russian spelling for garnet.
All stones are genuine natural garnets.
